Monash Childrens Hospital - Gates
The management had requested a solution to address the safety concern of children inadvertently entering the corridor and potentially encountering mobile beds.
Initially, the proposal had been to fabricate barn doors; however, this approach posed logistical challenges as the barn doors would have required significant space for swinging and could have obstructed the path of the beds.
After careful consideration, we had devised an alternative solution involving the implementation of sliding doors.
"Safeguarding Futures, Streamlining Spaces."
This innovative approach minimized the space required and strategically placed the doors adjacent to the windows in a room.
Subsequently, a 3D sketch of this concept was presented, reviewed, and approved. The final outcome closely resembled the approved 3D sketch,
effectively addressing the safety concern while optimizing space utilization.
