MMC - Soft & Hard Hoarding

When undertaking projects within a ward room, it is essential to establish a safe and clean environment. To ensure this, our engineering office follows a meticulous process, which includes the setup of appropriate hoarding, dust control measures, and a thorough cleaning regimen.

Here's an overview of our procedure:

Hoarding Setup: Depending on the nature and level of the work to be performed within the ward, we determine whether a soft or hard hoarding is necessary. This decision is made in consideration of safety requirements and the extent of the project.

Dust Control: Our primary goal is to minimize dust within the ward. For projects requiring a hard hoarding, we take extra precautions by sealing all joints in the hoarding structure.

Additionally, at the entrance to the ward, we install sticky mats to prevent dust from accumulating on the soles of our workers' boots.

Ventilation Seal: We understand the importance of preventing dust transmission through the air ventilation system. Therefore, we meticulously seal all vents to ensure that dust particles do not circulate within the ward.

Approval Process: Once the hoarding is in place and all dust control measures have been implemented, we seek approval from the Infection Prevention department. They will review our setup and, upon authorization, allow us to commence our work, ensuring the highest standards of safety and cleanliness.

Post-Work Cleaning: At the conclusion of our work within the ward, we undertake a comprehensive builder cleaning. Environmental Cleaning team meticulously goes through the area, ensuring that it meets the highest hygiene standards.

Final Approval and Hoarding Removal: Following the thorough cleaning process, the Infection Prevention department will review it. Once they give their approval, we proceed to remove the soft or hard hoarding, by following this meticulous process, we prioritise safety, cleanliness, and adherence to infection prevention protocols within ward rooms.

Our commitment to these standards ensures the well-being of both our team and the occupants of the ward.
