MMC - Shower Suite
The nurse manager had made a request for the renovation of the existing shower suite, which had been in use for many decades and was showing signs of wear and tear, including leaks and a tired appearance.
The project involved a complete transformation of the room, including the removal of the old ceramic tile flooring and wall coverings.
Our primary task was to replace the ceramic tiles with vinyl material on both the walls and the floor.
To accomplish this, we needed to take several steps.
"Revitalizing Comfort, Enhancing Care."
Firstly, we had set up a temporary enclosure at the main door and near the shower suite to ensure a controlled work environment.
Then, we proceeded to dismantle various fixtures attached to the walls, such as the shower rail, basin, mirror, soap dispenser, nurses call buttons, toilet pan, paper toilet roll holders, and other items.
Once the ceramic tiles had been removed from the walls, we focused on repairing the James Hardy cement sheets and applying a waterproof membrane to both the walls and the floor.
Following this crucial step, we installed the new vinyl material on both the walls and the floor. Finally, we reinstalled all of the wall fittings that were removed earlier.
This comprehensive renovation effort resulted in a rejuvenated and fully functional shower suite.
